Terry Bogard could be releasing as soon as next week according to a new copyright on the latest Smash Ultimate Spirit Event

It’s no secret that Terry Bogard will be releasing for Smash Ultimate in November, however it seems like he might come sooner than anyone thought. If you look at the latest internal news page for Smash Ultimate, you’ll notice a new copyright for SNK which was not present in any spirit event even after Terry was revealed.

A huge shoutout to @NintenZ for discovering this

I think will likely see a new overview trailer as soon as next week much like how Hero was showcased at the end of July. Things are certainly heating up and all I want now is a Geese Howard spirit.

Sony will shut down the PlayStation Vue service on January 30th 2020

PlayStation Vue launched in 2015 as a competitive TV/movie broadcasting service on the PS4. Sony is pulling the plug on their service next year as they have announced that PlayStation Vue will shut down on January 30th. Sony states that PlayStation 4 owners can still enjoy movie and streaming content from their various partners (i.e: YouTube, Netflix).

The announcement may not come as a surprise to many. Reports of Sony trying to sell the PlayStation Vue service circulated this month. PlayStation 5 releases in holiday 2020 so Sony might be trying to start with a clean slate as well. Getting rid of the Vue service seemed to be a priority.

Razer Junglecat Announced; And it Definitely Does Not Look Like the Switch

Hardware and accessory manufacturer Razer announced its latest new product today called the Razer Junglecat.  The company broke the news on twitter.

The Junglecat is a controller add-on for your smartphone.  By attaching to your phone or tablet it turns your device into a dedicated portable gaming device.

However, shortly after announcing the product, people on Twitter immediately mocked Razer for making the controller look like the Nintendo Switch, with Razer themselves joining in on the fun.

Keep in mind that the controller will only support Android devices that can output video.  So it won’t work with iOS devices like the iPhone or iPad.  Razer did confirm, however, that it is compatible with televisions and computer monitors.  Razer also stated that the controller’s battery can last about 100 hours on a full charge.

The Swi–I mean Junglecat is officially available to purchase right now for $99.99 via Razer’s official online store.

PlatinumGames celebrates Bayonetta’s 10th anniversary with new art and a message from Hideki Kamiya

Its been 10 years since the Bayonetta franchise started. Today, PlatinumGames is celebrating with new art designed by series artist Mari Shimazaki! In addition, PlatinumGames is holding a special campaign with prizes such as special T shirts.

Hideki Kamiya shared a message regarding the 10th anniversary of Bayonetta:

Sincerest thanks to all of you who’ve supported Bayonetta over the last ten years. Today is a momentous occasion for me, and it’s all because of your tremendous love.

Bayonetta was my very first title here at PlatinumGames, and I went into it with a lofty goal – to make the best action game I possibly could. I poured my all into the game with that feeling firmly in mind.

Now, ten years later, as I look back on those development days, I see peaks and valleys, good times and bad. But our staff pulled together through it all and, working as one, I think we managed to pull off something truly miraculous.

To everyone who’s been involved with the Bayonetta series, and to all of the Bayonetta fans who’ve helped us get here: Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I hope you’ll follow Bayonetta’s adventures, and continue to love and support her for years to come.

Hideki Kamiya

The Outer Worlds co-game director was “very, very surprised” when the game worked on Switch

The Outer Worlds was announced for Switch a few months ago and released for PS4, Xbox One and PC last week. It’s been critically acclaimed across the board and in 2020, the game will hit Nintendo’s highly successful hybrid platform. Co-game director Leonard Bayorsky talked about the Switch port with USGamer, elaborating on the team’s surprise about the project.

Bayorsky was “very, very surprised” about the project coming to Switch and working on the platform as well. At first, the team at Obsidian were unsure it could work on Switch. The team started to see many games reach the platform and were pleased when their own game was compatible with the Switch. Here’s the excerpt from USGamer:

“I don’t remember who first came up with that,” Boyarsky tells USgamer in the episode. “It was external to the team. We weren’t sure it could be done. But then they started coming out with all these games on Nintendo Switch, and we thought, ‘Wow, that’s great.’ And then we saw the proof of concept from the external team who was doing it and we were very, very surprised.”

Lastly, Virtuos is partnered with Obsidian for The Outer Worlds port for Switch. The Switch version of The Outer Worlds releases in 2020. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for more of the latest Nintendo Switch news!
