According to a report, Nintendo is planning to release a revision for the Nintendo Switch 2 in Europe, which will feature a rechargeable battery. The revision would make the console more in line with European Union guidelines.
With the updated Nintendo Switch 2 model, both the console and the Joy-Con controllers would have easily removable lithium-ion batteries. The reason for this is due to an EU Battery Regulation that will make it so, starting in 2027, products with portable batteries must allow consumers to easily remove or replace them. Currently, the products will remain unchanged in both the United States and Japan. It is unknown if or when this revision will release.
The most recent major Nintendo Switch 2 game, Pokémon Pokopia, is available now on Nintendo Switch 2 for $69.99 digitally and physically as a Game-Key Card title. Final Weapon reviewed the game and gave it a 4.5/5.
We described it as an experience which “shattered pretty much all the expectations I had of this game, and it deserves every praise it can get. This is precisely the type of game that, even if you boot it up for just a few short minutes, I guarantee you there will always be something that can be done, and before you notice, it’s been half an hour, and you’re still engrossed in it. Whether that time be spent looking for artifacts, decorating your islands, or even meeting new Pokémon, there’s something for everyone to enjoy here.”
Lastly, the Nintendo Switch 2 is available now for $449.99 at most local and online retailers.
