As part of the ongoing 10th anniversary celebrations for Pokémon GO, Niantic revealed several major milestones that the game has achieved since 2016. Additionally, it held an event in Times Square that served as a callback to the original 2015 trailer.
In a press release, Niantic outlined the game’s biggest achievements:

On July 11, Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global will take place until July 12. To celebrate the anniversary, the event will be accessible for free for all players. Every participant will receive access to exclusive Special Research that leads to an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Zeraora, increased Shiny Pokémon encounter rates, and event-specific gameplay bonuses without needing a paid premium ticket.
Recently, The Pokémon Company revealed new in-game avatar items themed around the MLB available now in Pokémon GO. Said items will only be available for a limited time. Players can visit the Pokémon GO Web Store and enter the offer code MLBxPOKEMONGO2026 to unlock an MLB-branded item for their in-game avatar. They can also claim their home team’s cap as an avatar item by spinning a PokéStop at a ballpark during any Pokémon GO–themed baseball game. Timed research, raid battles, and physical merch will also be available at some of the following games:

Lastly, Pokémon GO is available now on iOS and Android, and the MLB collaboration will start on June 17 and continue as the season progresses.
