REMOW has announced TOUGEN ANKI: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc. anime will premiere in October 2026, and two new cast members were announced. Nobuhiko Okamoto and Kent Ito are joining the cast as Hagure Nekosaki and Yu Innami, respectively.

Aki Shimizu’s Suikoden Star Leap: Trails of the Stars manga is being serialized in English on Kadokawa’s Comic Walker website. Shimizu previously worked on the Suikoden III manga, and she is also working on the ongoing The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei manga series.

The Suikoden: Star Leap mobile game is coming soon to Android, iOS, and PC via Steam. The new game features gacha elements and events, but the new title retains the Suikoden franchise’s signature combat system. Out of 108 stars, players can assemble a “dream team” of their favorite Suikoden heroes for battle.

Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend Anime Film Premieres October 16 in Japan

Kadokawa has announced Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend, the anime film based on Hajime Kamoshida’s Rascal Does Not Dream novel series, will open on October 16 in Japanese theaters. An updated key visual for the Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend anime film was revealed alongside a new trailer.

The previous part of the story, Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus, premiered on July 5, 2025, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series outside Japan. The English dub premiered a few weeks later on July 26 on Crunchyroll. Conton Candy performs the opening theme song “Snowdrop.”  The cast members for Uzuki Hirokawa, Ikumi Akagi, Sara Himeji, and Tōko Kirishima perform the ending theme song “Suiheisen wa Boku no Furukizu (The Horizon Is My Old Wound).”

Sparks of Tomorrow Anime Reveals July 5 Premiere, Trailer and Visual

Kyoto Animation has announced the TV anime adaptation of Hiro Yūki’s Sparks of Tomorrow novel will premiere on July 5 on Tokyo MX, BS11, and other affiliated channels in Japan. Netflix will be streaming the Sparks of Tomorrow anime worldwide, and a new trailer and key visual were revealed alongside a world premiere tour.

The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King Anime Gets New Promo Video

Kadokawa has released a new promotional video for the TV anime adaptation of Noriaki Kotoba’s The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King (also known as The Barbarian’s Bride) manga ahead of its premiere on April 9 at 9:30 p.m. JST on AT-X. Crunchyroll will be streaming the anime as it airs in Japan.

Mayu Maeshima performs the opening theme song “Beautiful” and sajou no hana performs the ending theme song “Shiru Beki Koto.”

Following the premiere on AT-X, The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King will air on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and Kansai TV, along with the WOWOW streaming service.

Crunchyroll will stream the anime adaptation of The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King worldwide, excluding Japan and mainland China. The anime was previously slated to premiere in October 2025 before being delayed to April 2026.

Kotoba launched the manga in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in January 2021, and K MANGA releases the manga in English digitally. Seven Seas Entertainment releases the manga in English.

Seven Seas Entertainment describes the story as follows:

At AnimeJapan 2026, the staff of the anime adaptation of Atekichi and Yukiko’s Heroine? Saint? No, I’m an All-Works Maid (And Proud of It)! light novel series revealed a new trailer, cast member and the anime’s July premiere. Joining the cast will be Yoko Hikasa, who voices Anne Marie Victirium.

The anime stars Rumi Ōkubo as Luciana Rudleberg, Yume Miyamoto as Melody Wave, and Kōhei Amasaki as Christopher von Théolas. EMT Squared is producing the anime.

Atekichi’s light novel series first launched on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in February 2017. TO Books began to publish the series with illustrations by Yukiko in March 2020. Keiko launched the manga adaptation on TO Books’ Corona Ex website. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed and releases the original light novel series and manga series in English.

Let’s Go Kaikigumi Anime Trailer Confirms July 5 Premiere

During AnimeJapan 2026, the staff of the TV anime adaptation of Byū’s Let’s Go Kaikigumi manga series confirmed the anime’s July 5 premiere. A new trailer was also revealed alongside new cast and staff members. 

The Let’s Go Kaikigumi anime will run on TBS and 27 affiliated channels, starting July 5 at 4:30 p.m. JST.

Tasuku Hatanaka voices the unnamed protagonist alongside Ruriko Aoki as Mechako and Shigeru Chiba as the narrator. Mayumi Shintani joins the cast as Cursed Doll.

Yutaka Hirata directs the anime at C-Station, Mutsumi Ito is supervising and writing the series scripts, and Yoshimitsu Yamashita is the character designer. Uketsu, an article writer on the Omocoro web service and author The Strange House novel and manga, is working on the anime’s production. Uketsu is also credited for the ending theme song.
