The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Katarina’s Shangri-La Frontier web novel series revealed a new teaser trailer for Shangri-La Frontier Season 3, which will premiere in January 2027. The cast of Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 will return in Season 3.
Toshiyuki Kubooka is the chief director for the new season at C2C with Hiro Ōki as the director and Naoki Kotani as assistant director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu oversees and writes the scripts. Ayumi Kurashima is the character designer and chief animation director. MONACA composes the music.

Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 premiered on October 13, 2024, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series outside of Japan. The first season aired in two cours from October 2023 to March 2024. 13 episodes aired in the first cour, followed by 12 episodes in the second cour.
Katarina began the web novel series on the “Let’s Be Novelists” website in May 2017. Three years later, the manga adaptation by Ryosuke Fuji began in Weekly Shonen Magazine in July 2020. The anime premiered on October 1, 2023 as a two-cour series.
