NetEase has officially unveiled season 9 of Marvel Rivals, which will feature Jubilee, The Hood, major gameplay overhauls, and more. The season will kick off on July 10 with the addition of Jubilee and a massive new update.
The new cinematic revealing season 9 teases the main story for the upcoming release. It showcases Apocalypse preparing to lead a new era, before being killed by a mysterious assassin. It reveals the first look at both Jubilee and The Hood, the latter of which will likely release with season 9.5 at a later date. The first half of season 9 won’t just feature Jubilee, but it will also include a major rework to Black Widow, giving her a faster rate-of-fire and adjusting her ultimate so that it won’t one-shot enemies.
It will also introduce a change to the team-up mechanic. Rather than only a few characters having team-up abilities per season, every single character now has two team-up loadouts they can choose from. This gives every player the ability to take advantage of the feature, regardless of their main. Further, the new season will add a new battlepass, giving new skins to Deadpool, Elsa Bloodstone, Ultron, Rocket Raccoon, and more. Jubilee will release as a strategist alongside a vampire-themed skin for her. New skins for Wolverine and Rogue will also be available on July 10. Later on in the season, the Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Age of Ultron mode and new Thebes map will also release.

Lastly, Marvel Rivals is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is in development.
