In a new interview with IGN, Marvel Games executive producer Danny Koo confirmed that a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Marvel Rivals is in development. The announcement comes just over a year after the game initially released in December 2024.
When asked about the Switch 2 version, Koo stated that “We’re working on it, but when we have news, we’ll announce that one.” When asked once again, he reconfirmed that “We will do it.” Previously, NetEase stated that it was open to releasing a port after getting a hold of several Nintendo Switch 2 devkits. Only time will tell when the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Marvel Rivals will release.
Recently, NetEase announced that Marvel Rivals season 7 will release on March 20, and will bring the arrival of White Fox. Later on, in season 7.5, Black Cat will release. Black Cat is a beloved villain and anti-hero who frequently is seen both fighting and flirting with Spider-Man.
The first gameplay trailer for White Fox describes her as follows: “As chaos spreads across New York, White Fox appears to establish order. A legendary nine-tailed fox and Director of Tiger Division, Ami Han brings sharp instincts, supernatural power, and unshakable resolve to the fight. When Fisk crosses the line, the Kumiho strikes back.”
Season 7 will also bring with it a new map set in New York City, new accessories for several heroes, and numerous balance updates. These balance updates will include the addition of a team-up between Luna Snow and White Fox, as well as Storm and Adam Warlock. NetEase will nerf Daredevil, Elsa Bloodstone, and Winter Soldier, and buff Hulk, Black Panther, Deadpool, and Blade.
Lastly, Marvel Rivals is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
