CyberAgent has released a new trailer for Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, the anime adaptation of Tomato Soup’s A Witch’s Life in Mongol manga series, confirming that Kujira plays the role of Boraqchin, the First Empress of Ögedei (the second Emperor of the Mongol Empire). Kujira also shared a comment for fans regarding her role in the Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia anime series, and a new key visual was also released.

“I’m Kujira, the voice of Boraqchin.
When I was offered the role, the first thing that came out of my mouth was:
“You actually found Kujira and cast me?!”
I’ve always loved history, and I’d already been reading the original manga as a fan. So I never imagined I’d be cast in the anime—especially in this role.
Boraqchin is a quiet, composed strategist who rarely lets anyone see what she’s really thinking. She’s a mysterious character who will eventually stand in the way of Töregene and Sitara.
I’m usually known for playing warm-hearted, straightforward, larger-than-life auntie characters, so this role is a whole new kind of “auntie” for me.
Recording was a constant process of trial and error, and with everyone’s support, we carefully shaped and brought Boraqchin to life together.
