In a new interview with Denfaminicogamer, Final Fantasy VII Revelation director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that Zack Fair will play a bigger and “even more important” role in Final Fantasy VII Revelation compared to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Zack will have more screen time, and there will be greater importance for his actions in the events of Final Fantasy VII Revelation.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation will launch in spring 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Cloud Strife and the party must face a world on the verge of annihilation. Sephiroth nears godhood, and the crew takes to the skies on the Highwind airship in a race to stop Meteor, the ultimate destructive magic that’s capable of destroying the planet. This will be the breathtaking finale to 30 years of Final Fantasy VII storytelling.
The entire planet will be explorable with the Highwind airship, and players can drop in via a parachute anywhere, seamlessly transitioning from the skies to ground. Players are encourage to search the world and help people as they go as the planet itself fights for its survival. The party will make one last stand with the beloved cast of characters and make important decisions that will impact aspects of their stories.
Before Final Fantasy VII Revelation arrives, fans can catch up with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S.
