Fuji TV Reveals Shōzen Anime Series, Premiering in 2027

Fuji TV has announced that Jiang Jia Meizi’s Shang Shan manhua will be getting a TV anime adaptation titled Shōzen. The Shōzen anime will premiere in 2027.

The anime’s cast members include:

  • Rina Kawaguchi as Shōzen
  • Hiroshi Kamiya as Dōzen
  • Daisuke Sakuma (Snow Man) as Ryojin
  • Aoi Yūki as Kensei
  • Ayumu Murase as Chiro

Itsurō Kawasaki directs the series at Dangan Pictures and Cannon Code, and Kawasaki writes the scripts. Eri Osada is the character designer and serves as chief animation director. Takurō Iga is composing the music.

Fuji TV will air the Shōzen anime on the B8station programming block in 2027.

Jiang publishes the series on bilibili Manga. The story of the manhua and anime series focues on Taoist priest Dōzen, who encounters a young girl raised by supernatural creatures. He names the girl Shōzen and adopting her as his disciple, teaching her about about human emotion and love.
