Dragami Games has announced that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will release on May 28 for $54.99. Players who already own Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP on Nintendo Switch may upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version for $9.99 with the Upgrade Pack.
According to Dragami Games, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Nintendo Switch 2 Edition was delayed from its original March 26 release date due to the “need for significant updates.” The delay also meant that there’s a shift in release timing for updates. The game’s next update will feature the second winning entry from the Costume Design Contest, the “Die Hard Patriot” costume. The “Succubus Juliet” and “Kogal” costumes will be released at a later date.
The Switch 2 version of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP features major improvements in resolution, frame rate, and graphics quality compared to the Switch version. Nintendo Switch owners of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will be able to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version via an upgrade pack. In addition, the Nintendo Switch 2 version includes an exclusive “Gun Shooting Mode,” where players fend off against zombies with only ranged attacks.
Previously, Nada Holdings and Dragami Games teamed up to announce a new Lollipop Chainsaw game and anime were in the works. The development team of the new game involves key staff members that were part of the previous Lollipop Chainsaw game, and an official X (formerly Twitter) account for the upcoming project has been opened.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
