Bandai Namco has announced its 10th anniversary plans for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, including the Final Festival of Universes and a free update. The game’s upcoming events will include rewards that will be available in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.
Firstly, a free update for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will launch on October 27 with new login bonus rewards, special costumes, and an update to the Gallery of Time, which is unlocked by owning the Future Saga Chapter 4 DLC.
The game’s 10th anniversary festivities will kick off in earnest on October 30 with the Final Festival of Universes. During the event, players can earn “hard-to-find” items and unlock new rewards for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3. Raising the camaraderie level with Trunks, The Supreme Kai of Time, or Fu will also unlock special illustrations, and players can earn 25 times more Star Coins than usual.
Participating in the Final Festival will also award you a new Gi and a commemorative medal. These items will unlock the aforementioned new rewards in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 by linking your Bandai Namco ID.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 launches in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. As previously announced, the new game will feature all-new original characters, along with those created and depicted by manga author Akira Toriyama.
Fans can also look forward to Dragon Ball Super The Galactic Patrol, which will cover the events of the manga’s “Galactic Patrol Prisoner Arc”. In this arc, Goku and Vegeta work together with the members of the Galactic Patrol, the peacekeepers of the galaxy, to battle against a new enemy, “Planet-Eater” Moro.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
