Dragami Games has announced that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Nintendo Switch 2 Edition has been delayed from its original March 26 release date to an unannounced date. According to Dragami Games, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Nintendo Switch 2 Edition was delayed due to the “need for significant updates.”
Dragami Games released the following statement on X (formerly Twitter).
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Nintendo Switch 2 Edition had been scheduled for release on March 26, 2026. However, due to the need for significant updates not only to the Nintendo Switch 2 version but also to the currently released Nintendo Switch version, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the release.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to all fans who have been eagerly awaiting this title.
We will announce the new release date as soon as preparations are complete.
The Switch 2 version of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP features major improvements in resolution, frame rate, and graphics quality compared to the Switch version. Nintendo Switch owners of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will be able to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version via an upgrade pack. In addition, the Nintendo Switch 2 version includes an exclusive “Gun Shooting Mode,” where players fend off against zombies with only ranged attacks.
Previously, Nada Holdings and Dragami Games teamed up to announce a new Lollipop Chainsaw game and anime were in the works. The development team of the new game involves key staff members that were part of the previous Lollipop Chainsaw game, and an official X (formerly Twitter) account for the upcoming project has been opened.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
