Nada Holdings and Dragami Games announced a new Lollipop Chainsaw game and anime are now in the works. The development team of the new game involves key staff members that were part of the previous Lollipop Chainsaw game, and an official X (formerly Twitter) account for the upcoming project has been opened.
The press release reads, “Under the strong partnership between NADA HOLDINGS and Dragami Games, development is already underway on a brand-new LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW title that both preserves and builds upon the appeal of the original. With a firm commitment to honoring the spirit of the original work, the development team includes key staff members who were involved in the previous title. The new project is also being developed with close attention to fan feedback.”
The press release continues, “As with the original, the new title aims to recreate a world rich in dark humor. The development process will prioritize staying true to the distinctive tone and spirit of the original work, without imposing excessive creative restrictions in the name of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).”
Nada Holdings and Dragami Games previously announced a partnership to jointly develop and launch new Lollipop Chainsaw projects as part of an IP development initiative. The initiative aims to expand the franchise through multifaceted projects and cross-industry collaborations, which could include games and anime.
Lastly, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
