Ubisoft has announced that Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid franchise will be available in Rainbow Six Siege as a new playable operator. He will release alongside a battle pass themed around the series on March 3.
David Hayter will reprise his role as Snake when he releases as a playable, permanent operator. This will mark the first time ever that the two original icons of stealth action games, Solid Snake and Sam Fisher, will be present in a game together. The cinematic trailer showcases the two beloved characters teaming up, which you can check out below:
In combat, Snake can use the Soliton Radar MKIII gadget to pinpoint the exact location of enemy operators. He has a set of weapons that he can choose from that include the TACIT .45 suppressed pistol, the F2 assault rifle, and the PMR90A2 rifle. He can also use his On-Sight Procurement ability to replenish his gadget pack by picking up fallen opponents’ utility pouches.
Additionally, alongside his debut, a new in-game event will kick off called Redacted. The event will feature a modified game map, a new infiltration mode, and pair together Snake and Sam Fisher, alongside operator skins for Jackal and Ash, based on Gray Fox and Meryl respectively. The trailer also teases skins that depict Ocelot and Psycho Mantis. Check out the trailer showcasing the gameplay of Solid Snake and everything his inclusion has to offer in Rainbow Six Siege below:
Lastly, Rainbow Six Siege is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
