Bloober Team has officially announced Layers of Fear 3, the newest entry in its beloved franchise. The release date for the game is currently unknown.
The announcement for the third entry in the series comes courtesy of an countdown website that Bloober opened in early February. The website had an image of a rose, leading many to speculate that it could be a Rule of Rose remake. However, we know that it is in fact Layers of Fear 3. While little details about the game’s mechanics, story, and consoles are known, a teaser trailer is available to watch. Check out the first trailer for Layers of Fear 3 below:
Layers of Fear is available now on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. It’s also available on Nintendo Switch 2 as the Final Masterpiece Edition. The previously announced edition compiles Layers of Fear (2023), Layers of Fear: Inheritance, Layers of Fear: The Last Note, Layers of Fear 2 (2023), Layers of Fear: The Lighthouse, and Layers of Fear: The Final Prologue in one new package. This Switch 2 version features motion-controls and other “Joy-Con interactions,” touchscreen support, and enhanced rendering in both docked and handheld modes. The Steam page describes it as follows:
