Villion: Code is set in a near-future university town that’s on a floating island in Tokyo Bay. On the island, students and teachers mutate into monsters. Dungeons in the game are procedurally generated and allow for 360-degree movement in every direction. This is possible in the dungeons’ tube-shaped environments with no ceiling. Combat is described as “real-time speed action.”
The game is teased as “Kouji Okada’s final message to the next generation.” Okada is the producer of the new school RPG, and he’s joined by scenario writer Tadashi Satomi, who previously wrote the stories of Revelations: Persona, Persona 2: Innocent Sin, and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. Megami Tensei series composer Tsukasa Masuko is the sound composer of the new RPG, and Ilya Kuvshinov (Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045) is the character designer. FRAM performs the theme song.
The voice cast includes:
- Kengo Kawanishi
