Nintendo and Illumination have released a new poster and clip for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, releasing in theaters in 2026. The clip showcases a better look at Bowser Jr., while the poster focuses on the Sand Kingdom.
Recently, Nintendo released the first trailer for the upcoming film. The trailer confirmed that Brie Larson, the Academy Award winning actress from Room and Captain Marvel, will voice Rosalina. Benny Safdie, director of The Smashing Machine and Uncut Gems, who has also acted in Oppenheimer and Obi-Wan Kenobi, will voice Bowser Jr. The latest clip showcases a better look at the introduction of Bowser Jr, who dons his Super Mario Bros. Additionally, Nintendo and Illumination also released a new poster for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The poster showcases the Sand Kingdom and its denizens, the Tostarenans, who initially appeared in Super Mario Odyssey. Previously, Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is in the final stages of development. The film will release in the United States on April 3, 2026 in theaters in the US. The movie will premiere on April 24, 2026 in Japan, three weeks after the US premiere.
Nintendo released Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Nintendo Switch for $39.99 on October 2.
