Nintendo has released the official trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Additionally, it has revealed the cast members who will play the role of Rosalina and Bowser Jr.
The first trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie teases the Sand Kingdom from Super Mario Odyssey and multiple galaxies that fans may recognize from Super Mario Galaxy. The trailer also features the debut of Megaleg from the original Super Mario Galaxy, as well as other hidden details and easter eggs.
More importantly, it highlights the introduction of two iconic characters: Rosalina and Bowser Jr. Brie Larson, the Academy Award winning actress from Room and Captain Marvel, will voice Rosalina. Benny Safdie, director of The Smashing Machine and Uncut Gems, who has also acted in Oppenheimer and Obi-Wan Kenobi, will voice Bowser Jr.

Previously, Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is in the final stages of development. The film will release in the United States on April 3, 2026 in theaters in the US. The movie will premiere on April 24, 2026 in Japan, three weeks after the US premiere.
Nintendo released Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Nintendo Switch for $39.99 on October 2.
