NetEase and Marvel have revealed the first gameplay trailer for Gambit, the next character coming to Marvel Rivals. He will be available alongside season 5 on November 14.
Gambit is a member of the X-Men who uses his mutant ability to imbue a deck of cards with explosive kinetic energy. In battle, he uses that ability to attack his enemies and support his allies. A.J. LoCascio will reprise his role as the character from the X-Men ’97 Disney Plus series. Check out the first gameplay trailer for Gambit in Marvel Rivals below:
Additionally, NetEase released the first look at the upcoming Battle Pass for Season 5 of Marvel Rivals. The Battle Pass includes classic costumes for Scarlet Witch and Adam Warlock, a What-If –inspired cosmetic for Ultron, and redesigns for Punisher and Namor that reimagine them as Frankenstein and an aquatic pirate respectively. Recently, Season 5 for Marvel Rivals was fully unveiled. The first trailer highlights a wedding between Gambit and Rogue, two iconic members of the X-Men who have made numerous appearances in video games, movies, and TV shows alike. It also features a look at other X-Men characters, including those who haven’t yet debuted in Rivals yet, such as Cyclops. Rogue will release in December 2025.
Season 5 will also add a new 18v18 mode called Conquest (Annihilation), which will release on November 27. Season 5 will also feature the debut of cross progression and a new “non-combat” social map. Lastly, Marvel Rivals is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The developers are open to releasing a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Marvel Rivals at a later date. Season 5 of Marvel Rivals will release on November 14.
