Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital announced Gran Turismo 7 update 1.61 will launch on July 24 with three new cars, multiple new World Circuits events, a Gran Turismo Sophy-compatible track, and a new Curation for Scapes.
Gran Turismo 7 update 1.61 adds the Honda N-ONE RS ’22, NISMO R34 GT-R Z-tune ’05, and Nissan Qashqai Tekna 190 2wd e-Power ’22 cars, along with the new ANEST IWATA Racing 2025 livery for the Lexus RC F GT3 ’17. The new Lightweight K-Cup (Nürburgring Nordschleife), Japanese FF Challenge 450 (Alsace – Test Course), and Race of Turbo Sportscars (Fuji International Speedway) will also be added to World Circuits.
What’s more, Gran Turismo Sophy will be available for the High Speed Ring track. Players should look out for the Sophy icon in ‘Quick Race’ and ‘Custom Race’ on the track to test their skills against Sophy. Lastly, Lone Pine will be a new Curation in Scapes.

Microsoft’s Forza Horizon 5 is available now for PlayStation 5, giving Gran Turismo fans another game to try out. Moreover, it has cross-play with the existing Xbox Series X|S and PC versions, and it supports the new Gioteck FR5 Racing Wheel. Final Weapon reviewed the PS5 version of Forza Horizon 5, giving it a 4.5 out of 5 score.
Gran Turismo 7 will continue to receive major updates on a near-monthly basis on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. What’s more, Polyphony Digital released the game’s free demo, My First GT, on December 6, 2024. Players may complete the demo to earn bonuses in Gran Turismo 7.
