Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games announced Forza Horizon 5 is coming to PlayStation 5 on April 29. The PS5 version of Forza Horizon 5 is available to pre-order and wishlist right now in the PlayStation Store.
Pre-orders are available for the Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition ($59.99), Deluxe Edition ($79.99), and Premium Edition ($99.99). The Premium Edition includes early access for the game, starting April 25.
The following items are included with all versions at no additional cost:
- Forza Horizon 5’s cover car: the 2021 Mercedes-AMG Mercedes-AMG ONE
- 5,000 #Forzathon Points
- 5 Backstage Passes
The PS5 version was developed by Panic Button in partnership with the original Forza Horizon 5 developers, and it will have the same content as the Xbox and PC releases. Forza Horizon 5 will feature cross-play across all three platforms. Previously released Car Packs and the Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions will be available for purchase separately.
Forza Horizon 5 features Performance and Quality graphics modes. Performance aims for a locked 60 frames per second (FPS), while Quality ups the visual fidelity with a targeted 30 FPS. PlayStation 5 Pro offers enhanced visual fidelity in Performance mode, while toggling Quality mode adds ray-traced car reflections to Races and Free Roam.
Moreover, a new free content update, Horizon Realms, is currently in the works for all three versions of Forza Horizon 5. Realms will give players the chance to explore a curated collection the community’s favorite previously released Evolving Worlds, along with “other surprises.”
Lastly, Forza Horizon 5 is available now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Microsoft Store and Steam.
