Capcom opened its year-end 2024 player survey to gauge interest into upcoming games, including the Okami sequel and Onimusha: Way of the Sword. The year-end 2024 survey also asks players about their interest in the Capcom Holiday Sale and the games they’ve recently played.
The survey is only five minutes long or so. By completing the survey before January 5, you gain access to a free special Capcom wallpaper featuring characters from Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, Street Fighter 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, and much more. You can take the survey here.
We’re conducting a survey on a variety of Capcom games and our ongoing Holiday Sale! Everyone who completes the survey will receive a special digital wallpaper as a token of our appreciation. The survey runs through January 5th (JST).

Previously Capcom confirmed that the company will be focused on “re-activating dormant IPs” that haven’t had a new game in recent years. This means that even more fan-favorite series from Capcom, such as Viewitful Joe, could potentially make a comeback with new games at some point.
The new Okami sequel is being co-developed by multiple studios with staff that were involved with the original game, including M-TWO, Machine Head Works, and Hideki Kamiya’s new studio, CLOVERS. Kamiya is directing the Okami sequel, which entered production around the time of The Game Awards 2024. Platforms and a release date were not announced.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is the first brand-new Onimusha title in more than a decade. The game is planned for a 2026 worldwide release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Onimusha: Way of the Sword takes place in Kyoto during the early Edo period. In this time of relative peace for Japan, Malice has befallen the ancient city. Twisted into an eerie and unsettling place, Kyoto has been infested by the demonic Genma.
