Supergiant Games has announced that the next major update for Hades II will release in Early 2025. The contents of the update are currently unknown. However, it’ll likely include new story beats, new quality-of-life changes, and some surprises from the developers. Supergiant will likely reveal more details in the coming weeks and months. At The Game Awards 2022, Supergiant Games announced Hades II, following the major success of Hades in years prior. Following the show, the developers confirmed that Hades II would release sometime in Q2 2024 for Steam and Epic Games Store on PC only. Similarly to the original Hades, Hades II will launch first in early access, and the technical test allowed players to test out an early portion of the game. After their most recent major update, Supergiant stated that they’d focus on the following initiatives:
- Climactic Confrontation
- What awaits further beyond the newly-added Region? Once we add that, we will consider the main structure of the Surface Route to be complete.

- New Boons
- Boons are integral to the experience of Hades II, so we have some more additions planned on this front. Surely the Olympians deserve no less!
- New Foes
- We plan to add even more combat encounter variety. Having lots of exciting and varied encounters helps keep Hades II feeling fresh for as long as you play it.
