Unicorn Overlord director Takafumi Noma confirmed that Vanillaware has no plans to release a PC port of the tactical RPG, according to a new interview at GamesRadar+.
“We do not have any plans for a PC version at this time,” Noma said.
Additionally, Noma confirmed that Vanillaware currently has no plans for Unicorn Overlord DLC or a sequel, along with the aforementioned PC port. Vanillaware has likely moved on entirely to its next project, but Noma says it would be great if DLC or a sequel were to happen sometime down the line.
Although there doesn’t seem to be further developments with the game, the Unicorn Overlord Orchestra Concert will be held on March 2, 2025 at the Sumida Triphony Hall’s Main Hall in Tokyo. Noma and Basiscape members will be guests at the Unicorn Overlord Orchestra Concert. Tickets are now on sale via lottery until October 27, and winners will be announced on October 30. Exclusive merchandise will also be sold with the tickets, and more details may be found at the official website.
Unicorn Overlord surpassed one million copies sold as of September 23. Roughly 500,000 copies were sold since this past March. To celebrate the milestone, Vanillaware’s Takashi Noma released an illustration featuring characters Berengaria, Melisandre, and Rosalinde.
Lastly, Unicorn Overlord is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version has not been announced.
