Capcom has released a new entry in their weapon overview series for Monster Hunter Wilds, this time focused on the Switch Axe. The upcoming game will release in 2025 and be playable at both PAX West and TwitchCon.
Capcom initially revealed Monster Hunter Wilds at The Game Awards 2023, with brief gameplay footage and a 2025 release date. The game can be wishlisted on storefronts now. This will be the first major Monster Hunter title since Monster Hunter Rise. Recently, Capcom released an overview trailer of the game’s basic mechanics, as well as a look at the heavy bowgun, insect glaive, gunlance, hunting horn, long sword, charge blade, hammer, light bowgun, and sword & shield weapons.
Monster Hunter Wilds Showcases Switch Axe
Capcom has released a new entry in the Monster Hunter Wilds weapon overview series. The latest trailer focuses on the Switch Axe, described as follows: “The versatile Switch Axe can morph between it’s powerful Axe Mode and the swift Sword Mode on the fly to fit the situation. With Focus Mode, accurately target the enemy’s weak point and discharge your weapon’s phials.”
