    Monster Hunter Wilds Announced for 2025

    More news to come in summer 2024.

    During The Game Awards 2023, Capcom officially announced the latest entry in the Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter Wilds. The game will release in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

    Monster Hunter Wilds is the first new Monster Hunter game in two years, with the most recent being Monster Hunter Rise. The game is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC. Additionally, a Monster Hunter game from Niantic, Monster Hunter Now, is also available now on iOS and Android.

    Monster Hunter Wilds is the latest entry in the prolific Monster Hunter franchise. The trailer, shown during The Game Awards 2023, emphasizes a much larger world with a new mount, new setting, and of course, new monsters. The game will release in 2025 with more news coming in summer 2024. Check out the trailer below:

    “We’re thrilled to announce Monster Hunter Wilds today and reveal the newest entry in the Monster Hunter series to fans all over the world,” said Monster Hunter series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto. “Our team is working passionately to create the greatest Monster Hunter experience yet, and we’re eager to play the game with everyone when it launches in 2025. Until then, please look forward to summer 2024, when we’ll have more information to share.”

    The Game Awards 2023 is Airing Now

    The Game Awards 2023 marks the 10th annual award showcase held in Los Angeles. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, the TGAs look to provide a celebration of games and the developers behind them. Dozens of awards are up for grabs, from Best Score and Music to the coveted Game of the Year award. 2023 has proven to be one of the most memorable years of games in recent memory. We’ve seen releases like Spider-Man 2The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the KingdomSuper Mario Bros. Wonder, and Final Fantasy XVI. This year’s awards winners will have fought a tough battle.

    The other major draw of The Game Awards is the slew of new announcements and trailers. Each year, dozens of publishers and developers worldwide showcase sneak peeks at their latest titles. Last year, we saw the reveal of Death Stranding 2Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, and updates on plenty of other titles.
