Free Bonus Update Recap
On June 8, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak version 16.0.0 marked the culmination of content updates for the game. The main story of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak was originally supposed to end with the defeat of Amatsu in Free Title Update 5. However, Primordial Malzeno appears in the Free Bonus Update, and players must rise to the challenge at Master Rank 10 and above. Primordial Malzeno brings new ferocious attacks and moves, but skilled hunters will earn valuable parts for a unique new armor set and weapons after defeating the monster.
Event Quests featuring even greater challenges and more exciting rewards will continue to release until July 27 according to Capcom. Unlike prior free updates, no paid DLC was released alongside the Free Bonus Update since post-launch support is winding down. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak players on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows will be able to experience all content from Title Updates 4, 5, and the Free Bonus Update on August 24.
Lastly, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
