    Capcom Shares Sales Update, Monster Hunter Rise Nearing 13 Million Copies Sold

    Strong Monster Hunter and Resident Evil sales.

    Capcom shared a sales update for Platinum Titles, which are games that have each surpassed one million copies sold. The new sales data includes copies sold as of March 31, 2023. Monster Hunter Rise appears to be one of the strongest performing titles for Capcom with sales nearing 13 million.

    Capcom reiterates sales performance for Resident Evil 4 remake and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak from its prior earnings release. Resident Evil 4 remake sold 3.7 million copies in just a week, and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak reached 5.45 million copies sold. Monster Hunter Rise sold 12.7 million copies as of March 31. 

    As a reminder, the final Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Digital Event will be held on June 7. The live broadcast will reveal details about the bonus update for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. The developers of Monster Hunter Rise and the Sunbreak expansion will also have a roundtable discussion.

    • Resident Evil 3 remake – seven million units, and 600,000 additional units sold since December 31, 2022
    • Resident Evil Village – 7.9 million units, and 500,000 additional units sold since December 31, 2022
    • Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak – 5.4 million units, and 500,000 additional units sold since December 31, 2022
    • Devil May Cry 5 – 6.9 million units, and 400,000 additional units sold since December 31, 2022
    • Resident Evil 7 biohazard – 12 million units, and 300,000 additional units sold since December 31, 2022
    • Monster Hunter World – 18.8 million units, and 200,000 additional units sold since December 31, 2022
    • Monster Hunter World: Iceborne – 10.2 million units, and 200,000 additional units sold since December 31, 2022
    • Street Fighter V – 7.2 million copies, and 200,000 additional units sold since December 31, 2022
    • Devil May Cry HD Collection – 1.4 million units, and 100,000 additional units sold since December 31, 2022
    • Capcom Arcade Stadium – 1.1 million units (New)
