This morning, Fate/stay night Remastered released on PC via Steam, but things were… less than ideal. Certain characters showed up in places they weren’t supposed to, with many strange (and humorous) occurrences posted to Twitter. Luckily, we can confirm that a patch has now been issued to fix the game. The patch reads as follows:
We have confirmed that there is currently a problem with the English version.
We are urgently investigating the cause, and plan to distribute a patch as soon as the investigation is complete.
We deeply apologize for any inconvenience and concern caused despite being just after the release.
As of now, Fate/stay night Remastered is the best-selling game on Steam. This remaster is of Fate/stay night Réalta Nua, which is a release based on the PlayStation 2 version of the game. In this version, adult content was removed, and the three separate routes were split between three separate episodes instead of one main title.
This release marks the third major Type-Moon title to make its way to the West. Type-Moon first began this initiative with Witch on the Holy Night, which released in December 2022 for PS4 and Switch simultaneously in Japan and in the West. The latest release, 2021’s Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-, was finally released in English for the first time across Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in June. Be sure to check out our 4.5/5 review here.
Fate/Stay Night Remastered is now available on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. Neither a PlayStation or physical version of the title has been confirmed at this time.
