    Stellar Blade New Game Plus Mode Arriving at Launch

    More than 30 new costumes for Eve to obtain.

    Sony Interactive Entertainment and SHIFT UP confirm that New Game Plus mode will be available in Stellar Blade on launch day. The mode will be available with the day one update after completing the main story.

    The developers at SHIFT UP recently confirmed Stellar Blade is uncensored in all countries, including Japan. Fans will not have to worry about the game’s content being different or altered. Moreover, several tidbits about the game were being revealed ahead of the April 26 launch, including a reversible cover for all Stellar Blade copies.

    Stellar Blade New Game Plus Mode

    In New Game Plus, Stellar Blade players may acquire new costumes for Eve, Adam, Lily, and the Drone. Eve will also have new accessories to acquire during her journey, and players may re-open chests to sell previously acquired costumes and earn more money from shops. A total of 34 new outfits are available for Eve to earn in New Game Plus, including five accessories and two cosmetics each for Adam, Lily, and the Drone.

    New Game Plus also implements level expansions for Weapon, Body Core, Beta Core and Tumbler:

    • Weapon – 15 -> 40
    • Body – 6 -> 9
    • Beta – 6 -> 9
    • Tumbler – 5 -> 13

    Remaining cores can be sold at SP0-tt2r’s shop to acquire Vitcoin, which may be used to purchase new costume items. 

    Moreover, players will be able to earn Infinite skills that enhance existing Beta skills. There will be four new Beta skill moves, eight new skills to enhance Beta/Burst skills, and five new Drone skills.

    Eve’s gears and Exospine will also receive new enhancements in New Game Plus. SHIFT UP recommends players collect and combine Mk2 gear to face off against New Game Plus’ stronger enemies. In addition, enemies have been repositions in New Game Plus for added challenge.

    Stellar Blade is developed by SHIFT UP and directed by CEO Kim Hyung Tae. The new action game was inspired by NieR: Automata and Bayonetta, with a strong emphasis on a single-player story and intricate combo system. Moreover, SHIFT UP is hiring for a new project coming to consoles, PC, and mobile platforms. The new project will be a “next-gen AAA urban science-fiction action RPG” developed in Unreal Engine 5. 

    Lastly, Stellar Blade launches on April 26 worldwide, exclusively for PlayStation 5.
