What Happened in Episode 6? (Recap)

    Solo Leveling Episode 6 Recap

After being tricked by Hwang Dongsuk in Solo Leveling episode 6, Jinwoo and Yoo Jinho are stuck in the spider monster’s lair to fend for themselves. The monster is at least C-Rank, so it’s Jinwoo’s toughest challenger thus far. Jinho urges him to stand back, but Jinwoo is fearless and decided to battle the monster head-on.

After some trial and error, Jinwoo manages to kill the spider monster by stabbing its eyes with the special sword he acquired from the Blue Venom-Fanged Kasaka. This sword is able to inflict Drain and Paralysis status effects, so it’s quite strong. The spider monster is finished, but Dongsuk and his party is back to downplay the achievement.

Dongsuk’s group are prepared to kill Jinwoo, but they first attempt to blackmail Jinho into siding with them. Jinho refuses, since he believes Jinwoo is an incredibly strong false-rank hunter. Before Jinwoo could act, he’s struck by a magic spell and set torso-first into a cave wall. In a delirious state, Jinwoo receives an urgent quest from the “system” to kill Dongsuk and his party.

Jinwoo choses to follow through with the system’s demands, since he will level up and continue to be alive if he obeys. He begins to slaughter Dongsuk’s party one by one, with Dongsuk being the last to die. Jinho is fearful and sickened by the display, but he decided to back Jinwoo for protecting him. The episode ends with Dongsuk’s brother learning about his death.
