Aniplex have announced Alterna Welt: Blue Exorcist Gaiden, a brand-new 3D action RPG coming to Android, iOS, and PC via Windows. The new Blue Exorcist game is scheduled for a summer 2024 launch, and a new trailer was revealed at Jump Festa 2024.
The popular Blue Exorcist series continues with the Blue Exorcist Shimane Illuminati Saga anime, which premieres on January 6. Blue Exorcist Shimane Illuminati Saga adapts volumes 10-15 of the Blue Exorcist manga series. Fans may also look forward to Alterna Welt: Blue Exorcist Gaiden, which features an original story.

A new trailer for Alterna Welt: Blue Exorcist Gaiden highlights several manga-style panels before moving to in-engine footage for the new action RPG. Rin and Yukio Okumura may be seen battling demons and other creatures across various levels. Moreover, the game’s newly launched website confirms True Cross Academy will serve as the main setting with an original story written by Blue Exorcist creator Kazue Kato. Players in Japan may pre-register by following the game’s official Twitter account.

Blue Exorcist Shimane Illuminati Saga anime premieres on January 6 at 24:30 JST / 10:30 a.m. EDT. Daisuke Yoshida directs the anime series at Studio VOLN with Toshiya Ono overseeing the series scripts. Yurie Oohigashi is the character designer and chief animation director, while Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano compose the anime’s score.
