    More SEGA IP revivals seemingly on the way.

    More trademarks filed by SEGA on December 6 have gone public. The trademarks include Crazy Taxi, Shinobi, Alex Kidd, Outrun, and more.

    SEGA announced several new games during The Game Awards as part of a new initiative. The announced games include a new Jet Set Radio, Streets of Rage, Shinobi, Crazy Taxi, and Golden Axe. The trailer hinted that more games would be released as part of the initiative. The full list of trademarks includes Alex Kidd, After Burner, House of the Dead, Crazy Taxi, Shinobi, Outrun, Streets of Rage, and Super Monkey Ball. All of the games mentioned above are popular arcade and console games’ from the company’s past.

    On December 14, more new trademarks filed by SEGA were made public. The trademarks include Alex Kidd, After Burner, Crazy Taxi, House of the Dead, Outrun, Shinobi, Streets of Rage, and Super Monkey Ball. While the trademarks are not indicative of new games in the respective franchises, considering the recent trademarks of Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Streets of Rage, and Shinobi, it is likely that some of these series’ will be getting new entries.

    SEGA initially released Alex Kidd in Miracle World on the Master System. After Burner, Outrun, Streets of Rage, and House of the Dead are all classic arcade games. They released Super Monkey Ball on the Dreamcast while Crazy Taxi came out on the Gamecube. Expect to see more details on all the games mentioned above to be revealed in the coming months and years.

    Recently, SEGA confirmed that they are hiring for the new Jet Set Radio game. Many of the staff from the original release will be returning with the new game. Additionally, SEGA also confirmed that Masayoshi Kikuchi will be the game’s producer. It is currently unknown when they will release the new Jet Set Radio.

    SEGA will confirm more details on all the games mentioned above in the future.
