    SEGA Hiring Staff for New Jet Set Radio Game

    The game's producer will be Masayoshi Kikuchi.

    SEGA has begun the process of hiring staff for the upcoming Jet Set Radio game. The company also confirmed that Masayoshi Kikuchi will be the producer of the next entry in the series.

    SEGA released the first entry in the Jet Set Radio franchise in 2000. The sequel, Future, was released two years later, in 2002. Over the years, several games were inspired by the colorful style and exciting movement style of the game. The biggest example of a spiritual successor to the Jet Set Radio franchise was the recent release of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. During The Game Awards, SEGA announced several new games as part of a new initiative. One of these games was a new Jet Set Radio.

    In a recent video, SEGA announced that they are officially hiring staff for the next Jet Set Radio game. Initially revealed during The Game Awards, many of the staff from the original release will be returning with the new game. Additionally, SEGA also confirmed that Masayoshi Kikuchi will be the game’s producer. It is currently unknown when they will release the new Jet Set Radio.

    During The Game Awards, SEGA also revealed a new Shinobi game, Golden Axe, and Crazy Taxi in a new initiative for IP revivals. As part of this new initiative, a new Jet Set Radio game is also in-development. The trailer reveals little about the new game, other than the fact that both Beat and DJ Professor K will be making their return. It also seems that the game will take place in Shibuya, a special ward deep in the heart of Tokyo, Japan. Check out the trailer below:

    Lastly, the original Jet Set Radio is available now on PC. Additionally, the game’s spiritual successor, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, is also available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
