    Honkai: Star Rail Reveals New Version 2.0 Changes & Features

    A glimpse into the future of Honkai: Star Rail.

    HoYoverse released a new developer blog for Honkai: Star Rail, revealing upcoming changes and new features for the upcoming Version 2.0 update. A release date for this new update has not been revealed, but HoYoverse shares a lot of insight about what’s on the horizon. 

    The next major update for Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6, which will be discussed at length during HoYoverse’s Special Program livestream on December 15. After the release of Version 1.6, fans may look forward to the major Version 2.0 at some point in 2024. A sneak peek of the new update was shown at The Game Awards 2023, and more details have been revealed since then.

    Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0 Changes and Features

    A new Quick Enhance feature will be available in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0. By selecting “Enhance to the Next Stage” option, Relics will be rapidly enhanced to specific levels where new random stat entries are gained or increased. Players may also choose to salvage 5-star Relics into Lost Gold Fragments or Relic Remains. A Discard Relic feature will also be available. Some optimizations will be made to the filter feature as well.

    In Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6, the “Tears of Dreams” universal Path material will be added. This material may be used to activate Traces or ascend Light Cones when players don’t have the required Path materials. Path materials of various rarities will require different amounts of Tears of Dreams. Players can expect to receive some Tears of Dreams in their in-game mailbox, and more Path materials will be added in Version 1.6, Version 2.0, and beyond. 

    In Version 2.0 and subsequent updates, several Calyx (Crimson) stages will be added to the Penacony, allowing players to farm Path materials. successively added to places such as
    Penacony that allow the farming of Path materials. Golden Calyxes will also drop materials that can be obtained through defeating regular enemies. For instance, Belobog’s Golden Calyx will drop Extinguished Cores and Cores of Ice. Six new Golden Calyxes will be added to the Xianzhou Luofu and Penacony.

    Orlay Crossroads and New Light Cones 

    One of the many new Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0 features coming soon is the Orlay Crossroads system. The Orlay Crossroads system offers a timeline of locations and events, including each Trailblaze Mission, Trailblaze Continuance, Companion Mission, and certain Adventure Missions. This will allow players to review their journey thus far.

    Additionally, the Light Cone Manifest store will receive an update with new Light Cones for purchase. Those interested in this shop can prepare by stocking up on Lucent Afterglow they have accumulated. More details will be announced in another developer blog, so stay tuned. 

    Lastly, Honkai: Star Rail is available now for free on Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, and PC via Epic Games Store.
