Bandai Namco released the new Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO “Master and Apprentice” trailer and various screenshots for newly revealed playable characters. Beerus, Whis, Future Gohan, and more will appear in this new Budokai Tenkaichi entry.
Recently, a new issue of V-Jump revealed new Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO characters, including Beerus, Whis, and various forms of Gohan. Thus far, only a fraction of Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO’s vast roster has been revealed out of potentially 160+ characters.
Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO Master and Apprentice Trailer Confirms Multiple Characters
The Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO Master and Apprentice trailer features roughly two and half minutes of gameplay. The trailer confirms the following playable characters for the game:
- Beerus
- Whis
- Kid Gohan
- Adult Gohan
- Future Gohan (Base)
- Future Gohan (Super Saiyan)
- Videl
- Future Trunks (Dragon Ball Z) (Sword)

Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO brings a “historic” roster of characters, including newer fan-favorites from Dragon Ball Super. Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO features incredible visuals, dynamic effects, and in-game weather changes when transforming or charging ki.
Executive producer Akio Iyoku is committed to 10 more years of Dragon Ball anime and games, which includes the new Dragon Ball Daima anime and Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO game. He will be vital to the growth of the anime and games sector, while Toyotarou handles the manga and upholds Akira Toriyama’s lasting legacy.
