Black Clover Manga Returns on December 25

Moving to a seasonal release schedule.

The first 2024 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump confirms that the Black Clover manga will return on December 25. Black Clover will re-enter serialization in the winter issue of Jump Giga.

This past August, author Yuki Tabata confirmed that the Black Clover manga is leaving Shonen Jump. The manga would enter a hiatus after chapter 368 as Shueisha and Tabata prepare the move to Jump Giga. After nearly four months, Shueisha confirms Black Clover’s anticipated return.

Black Clover Manga Finally Makes a Comeback

The winter issue of Jump Giga will release on Christmas, marking the return of the Black Clover manga. Black Clover will be heading toward its climax within the “final saga” according to Tabata. The move to Jump Giga allows Tabata to spend more time working on chapters due to its seasonal release model.

One issue of Jump Giga releases during each season for a total of four issues per year. As a result, Black Clover moves to a seasonal release schedule with a three-month deadline per chapter. Each chapter will be roughly 50 to 60 chapters. Chapters will still be released through VIZ Media and Manga Plus in English, however.

A total of 170 episodes were released for the Black Clover anime from October 2017 to March 2021. The Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King anime film premiered on June 16, 2023 worldwide. Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King released just a few days ago on November 30 as a free-to-play mobile RPG.

Here’s an overview of the manga series, via VIZ Media:
