The extremely popular manga Black Clover by Yuki Tabata is moving from Weekly Shonen Jump to Jump Giga. Once Black Clover Chapter 368 is serialized, the manga will make its way to the new magazine.
Consequences Of Black Clover Leaving Shonen Jump
This move is extremely significant to the progression of the manga. As the name implies, Weekly Shonen Jump manga release chapters every week as long as there’s no holidays or personal leave by the authors. The chapters range from 8-10 pages. Manga authors have a deadline of about a week to put out a new chapter.
Jump GIGA on the other hand is much more relaxed than its counterpart. Jump GIGA has a 3 month deadline for authors. Chapters usually have about 50-60 pages. Prominent manga that’s in Jump GIGA is Gintama and Jujutsu Kaisen, although it was only for the 0 version.
The news comes after Shonen Jump uploaded two posters to their “Current Series” section, one that contained Asta and one that didn’t.

Yuki Tabata has been ridden with health issues and he has taken frequent breaks over the years. This isn’t a rare occurrence in the manga industry as many other authors such as Horikoshi Kohei of My Hero Academia has also taken many breaks due to health.
With the move to Jump GIGA, Yuki Tabata will have much more time to meet deadlines without compromising his health. Not only will there be less stress on him, but he will also have more time to write and draw better chapters. He wrote a message at the end of the chapter, explaining why he decided to shift from the magazine.

The manga will also promote it reaching the climax of the final arc in the transfer of magazines. It’s estimated that the manga has about 4-5 chapters left to adapt the fight between Asta and Lucius. The next chapter will be released in December. More details will be revealed once Black Clover leaves Shonen Jump.
