Final Fantasy VII Remake Trilogy Will “Link Up” to Advent Children

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Tetsuya Nomura told the outlet that fans of Advent Children will be taken care of with the Final Fantasy VII Remake Project. Advent Children is a sequel to the original FFVII that takes place two years after the main game’s events.

To The Guardian, Nomura said the following: “If you play right through to the end, it will link up [to Advent Children] so you don’t need to worry about that.” The outlet noted that he stated the response with a “knowing smile.”

Advent Children was first released in 2005. The movie went on to release in the West in 2006. Somewhat recently, Square Enix released a 4K Remaster of the title on Blu-Ray. Fans can purchase a copy here via Amazon

The second part of the FFVII remake trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has received a blowout of information over the past week thanks to Tokyo Game Show. The game is set to release in just over five months.
