HoYoverse announced Genshin Impact Version 4.1 “To the Stars Shining in the Depths” launches on September 27 with new playable characters, a new area in Fontaine, new quests, and so much more. This update will also celebrate the third anniversary of Genshin Impact with several free rewards.
Genshin Impact has come a long way since its launch in September 2020, and HoYoverse will celebrate the game’s anniversary with the Version 4.1 update. A mysterious northern area will appear in Fontaine, and several three-year anniversary rewards will be up for grabs. In addition, Neuvillette and Wriothesley will make their playable debut.
Genshin Impact Version 4.1 Celebrates Three Years Since Launch
In Genshin Impact Version 4.1, players will head north to an underwater area shrouded in mystery. The latest Archon Quest brings the Traveler to the Fortress of Meropide in search of Tartaglia (Childe). Apparently, the ruins players will head into share the tale of a deadly attempt by the Fontaine Research Institute to survive a great flood of prophecy. In addition, Traveler will come face-to-face with the Millennial Pearl Seahorse, a boss enemy that deals Electro damage. The Experimental Field Generator is another boss enemy that players should be aware of. This boss is an out-of-control research device used to counteract gravity, granting the ability to leap higher and farther.
Neuvillette and Wriothesley will finally become playable 5-star characters in Genshin Impact Version 4.1, and both characters use catalysts.. Neuvillette is a Hydro user, while Wriothesley is a Cryo user. Players will learn more about these characters in their respective story quests. Neuvillette and Hu Tao will be available in the first phade of event wishes, followed by Wriothesley and Venti in the second phase.
A poetry festival will be held in Mondstadt and Liyue, giving the Traveler an opportunity to reunite with friends and “honor friendship and love.” The festival includes various mini-games and an exclusive 4-star catalyst as an event reward. More rewards will be available with Genshin Impact’s third anniversary approaches. Players may earn Intertwined Fates ×10 and other rewards from a special login campaign. Moreover, Primogems ×1,600, Fragile Resin ×4, and the Portable Aerodynamic Gelatinous Bubble Generator and Itty Bitty Octobaby gadgets will be sent out to all players via the in-game mailbox.
