Square Enix announced SaGa Emerald Beyond, the latest turn-based RPG in the long-running SaGa series. This new title will bring multiple protagonists and adventures to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, iOS, Android, and PC via Steam next year.
Previously, SaGa series director Akitoshi Kawazu teased that 2023 would be an eventful year leading up to the series 35th anniversary in 2024. Kawazu wants to “make things exciting” for fans leading into the SaGa 35th anniversary year. One of the anniversary titles that Kawazu was previously referring to is SaGa Emerald Beyond.
SaGa Emerald Beyond is the Next Major SaGa Entry
SaGa Emerald Beyond is a new turn-based RPG that brings all of the best features and gameplay elements from prior entries in the series. A total of 17 mysterious worlds may be traversed with its own stories. The player’s decisions will lead them to many scenes and multiple endings. From one playthrough to another, the story may play out completely different. Fans will be able to experience this new RPG in 2024.
