Can you play with other pilots in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon? Fortunately, Armored Core 6 does have a multiplayer mode for those who wish to play online. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to play missions with a friend. The multiplayer in Fires of Rubicon is strictly limited to PvP options and it requires a little bit of effort to access it.

How to Unlock Multiplayer in Armored Core 6

Players won’t be able to enter PvP matches as soon as they boot up Armored Core 6. The reason for this is likely because competitively viable builds can’t be made early on in the game. Players can gain access to new parts as they progress through the game, allowing for more complex and powerful builds.

To unlock the multiplayer in Armored Core 6, players must complete the first two chapters of the game. Once these two chapters are completed, you should notice an option called “Nest” in the garage. Navigate to this option and select it to enter the PvP menus. You now can now enter any public room that isn’t full and fight against other players.

Armored Core 6 allows players to fight each other one-on-one or in teams of 3. In one-on-one matches, the first player to score two points is the victor. Team-based matches are timed, with the goal of earning the most points before the timer reaches zero. During a match, the player with the most kills will be marked as a priority target, allowing for more points to be earned if killed.

There is no matchmaking. Instead, players must create or join custom rooms if they wish to play against each other. When creating a room, you will be able to set several conditions. The room capacity, match format, time limit, map, and member rotation can be changed to your liking. In addition, if you wish to host a private room, you can. These rooms can only be accessed via an invite.
