Will Armored Core 6 Have Co-op Missions?

    You are on your own.

If you are hoping that Armored Core 6 will have co-op, you may be disappointed. Unfortunately, FromSoftware’s latest upcoming game will not allow players to team up in story missions. However, this may not come as much of a surprise, since the overall series does not provide many options when it comes to cooperative play.

Fortunately, there will still be an option for online play for those who want a multiplayer experience. PvP matches are a series staple, and Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is looking to be no exception. Players will be able to engage in online matches and put their mech to the test.

As of writing, details are still sparse as to what the PvP experience will exactly entail. However, it’s entirely possible that players may be able to compete in a team-based mode.  players should soon find out what the PvP experience is all about, as the game’s release date approaches rapidly.

Why Will Armored Core 6 Not Have Co-Op?

The upcoming mech game is focusing primarily on its single-player experience. Missions in the game will be balanced around playing solo. This allows the developers to create carefully crafted levels with a flow that fits a solo campaign perfectly.

So, while Armored Core 6 will not have co-op, it will also not be short on PvE content. At its core, FromSoftware believes that the game is a story-driven journey. They wish to immerse the player in the role of a lone mercenary. As FromSoftware typically tends to tie gameplay and lore together, this decision should make sense.

Hopefully, those who are wishing for a cooperative experience will be able to get it with the game’s PvP mode. It might not be the same as a cooperative PvE mode, but it should provide hours of enjoyment for those looking forward to it.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon releases on August 25 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. It will be the first Armored Core game to release in nearly 10 years. For more updates on Armored Core 6, be sure to keep your eyes on Final Weapon.
