Nintendo announced the version 1.2.1 update for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available on Nintendo Switch. The new update includes fixes for various issues that have affected the game since launch.
Nintendo began to release new custom icon elements for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom this past month. The previous update for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom also allowed players to earn in-game rewards by visiting articles in the game’s Switch News channel. Today, a new update brings important fixes to treasure chests and in-game quests.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Update 1.2.1
Update 1.2.1 for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fixes screen flickering involving the placement of several stamps on the map. The update also fixes an issue with the contents of treasure chests disappearing due to a Flux Construct’s attacks. Moreover, the update applies a crucial fix to Koltin after collecting all of the Bubbul Gems in the game. After installing the update, players should be able to talk to Koltin without running into problems.

Fixed Issues
- Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the screen to flicker intensely when large amounts of stamps were placed on the Map.
- Fixed an issue that prevented players from obtaining the contents of treasure chests attached to Flux Constructs when the treasure chests vanished as a result of the Flux Construct’s attacks.
- If the treasure chest vanished, reloading the save data will either restore the treasure chest or cause the chest’s contents to automatically appear in your Pouch.
- If a certain event does not trigger when talking to Koltin after collecting all of the Bubbul Gems, downloading this update data will fix it so that the event triggers.
- Several other issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.
Lastly, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
