Bandai Namco and D3PUBLISHER have announced that The Idolmaster: SideM will release for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 at a later date. It will be the first entry in the franchise to release on consoles.
While the release date for the game is unknown, it will feature an original storyline with the same world and perspective as the main project. Players will be able to manage 49 idols across 16 units. Check out the first teaser trailer for The Idolmaster: SideM below:
Recently, Bandai Namco released a Blu-ray version of the The Idolmaster: Million Live OVA on March 27, 2026. Shinya Watada, the director of the anime series, directed the new episode at Shirogumi with Yoichi Kato as the script writer. The OVA’s title is “Itsuka, Mannaka de (Someday, In the Center). The Blu-ray disc also includes promo videos and six “special new videos,” along with two booklets and an item code for The Idolmaster: Million Live Theater Days.
The Idolmaster Million Live TV anime series premiered on October 8, 2023, and the anime aired on TV Tokyo, BS11, BS NTV, and other affiliate channels and networks. Alongside the aforementioned staff members, Lantis produced the music as composer. Moreover, Bandai Namco Entertainment planned and produced the anime series. The company is also credited as the original creator of the series. Crunchyroll streams all 12 episodes of The Idolmaster Million Live with English subs.
