The official website of the Urusei Yatsura anime revealed several new pieces of information and confirms a January 2024 premiere just a few months before Kaiju No.8. Fans around the world may stream the anime too.
Urusei Yatsura is an adaptation of the manga by Rumiko Takahashi and it first aired in 1981. The anime began again in October 2022 and is scheduled to run for four parts with 46 episodes total.
Staff and Cast Of Urusei Yatsura’s Second Half
David Productions returns to animate the second half of Urusei Yatsura. Their track record is impressive, with hit series such as Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures and Fire Force. Their animation quality is some of the best so we can expect some gorgeous animation once again. Fans may experience this animation when the Urusei Yatsura anime continues with its second half on Japanese TV networks and HIDIVE in January 2024.
Takahiro Kamei will be the director of the new part. He is a veteran at David Productions, directing many episodes of Fire Force and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind. Masaru Yokohama is in charge of music composition for the series. He’s an extremely talented musician, working on Horimiya, Fruits Basket and many more.
Sumire Uesaka, the voice actor behind Nagatoro from Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro, will continue to voice Lum. Hiroshi Kamiya will voice Ataru Moroboshi. He’s the talent behind Ego Jinpachi from Blue Lock.

Plot Of Urusei Yatsura
The anime is a rom-com about aliens who promise to leave Earth if a random human manages to grab Lum’s horns. Ataru is chosen and despite it seeming impossible, he’s motivated by the promise of marriage to Shinobu Miyake, his childhood friend. He manages to grab Lum’s horns but because of a misunderstanding, Lum thinks Ataru wants Ataru wants to marry her. The series revolves around Ataru dealing with Lum’s misunderstanding and his fiancé’s anger.
