Time to save square Earth again.

In the August 17 and 24 combined Famitsu issue, D3 Publisher announced Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, the sequel to the successful Earth Defense Force: World Brothers spin-off. The sequel will come to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

In the original Earth Defense Force: World Brothers, players explore a parallel world where Earth is made out of digital blocks. The world becomes shattered into pieces, and its up to players to combat enemies and save Earth before all of its pieces are destroyed. Although the Dark Tyrant was defeated in Earth Defense Force: World Brothers, a new threat has appeared in the sequel.

The new issue of Famitsu reveals that Gaiark emerges from within the Earth in Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, causing it to shatter into pieces once more. Players will have access to several different classes, including four classes from Earth Defense Force 6. It’s up to players to conquer the challenges alone or with friends in the upcoming sequel.
