    The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki Mobile Shuts Down on August 23

    Shutting down nearly a year after the console versions.

    Nihon Falcom and UserJoy Japan announced The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki Mobile is shutting down on August 23 for Android and iOS. The PC version will resume operations as intended, and a roadmap to the mobile version’s permanent shutdown was revealed. 

    UserJoy Japan shared an official notice for The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki Mobile, revealing the game’s imminent shutdown. A reason for the shutdown was not given, but the developer shared a roadmap of what’s to come. Effective immediately, in-game purchases from the paid item shop are disabled. On July 5, the game will be pulled from the Google Play Store and App Store. Although the game will end service on August 23, Userjoy plans on providing support to its users until October 23, including refunds. 

    The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki Mobile Refunds

    A refund application process for unused paid bracer coins will live from August 23 at 12:00 JST to October 23 at 12:00 JST. Refunds will be given in Japanese yen, and exact details about the refund process will be revealed on the official website. However, the official website will no longer be active once the refund period ends on October 23. Fans should submit their refund applications as soon as possible to ensure a timely refund. UserJoy Japan notes that free bracer coins must be used before the end date since its not eligible for the refund. 

    The mobile version’s shutdown comes nearly a year after the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation versions ended service. The Nintendo Switch version ended service on April 28, followed by the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita versions on June 15. Only the PC version of The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki remains, and it’s time may be up soon as well.

    Lastly, The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie launches July 7 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam in the west.
