SEGA announced Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis surpassed 11 million registered users worldwide as of June 28, 2023. This milestone was achieved two years after the launch of the game, and fans may celebrate with new collaborations.
In a new press release, SEGA confirms over 11 million registered users have played Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. Currently, the game is celebrating its second anniversary with new collaborations following the recent version 2.0 update. Additionally, fans may log into the game to receive an “11 Million ARKS Celebration Gift” in their in-game mailbox. This gift includes 10 Special Scratch Tickets and 100 Star Gems.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis 11 Million Players and Celebrations
The Sonic the Hedgehog and Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 collaborations are now live in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. Statues of iconic Sonic characters are on display in Central City, and players may earn a variety of special collaboration items through limited-time tasks and login bonuses. A new “Green Hill Sprint” Limited-Time Quest will be available, allowing players to sprint through Dash Rings and collect rings just like Sonic in Sonic Frontiers.
Starting today, players may draw from the Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 AC Scratch Ticket to earn outfits modeled after Motoko and Batou from the anime. A variety of additional cosmetics, including a Tachikoma AI tank and various weapon camos, are available now. Moreover, fans may earn rewards from the Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 collaboration login campaign as well.
In July 2023, the 11th anniversary event will begin in various updates featuring several new activities and rewards. Central City acts as a main hub for the festivities, and players will have limited-time tasks that grant special rewards upon completion. Further, fans can also expect a plethora of updates and collaborations in fall and winter 2023.
Lastly, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store, Windows, and Steam.
